Welcome to our school website. We hope it provides you all the information you need. Making the right choice of school for your child is perhaps one of the most important decisions you make so we highly recommend you come and visit us. We are confident you will find us warm and welcoming with much to offer to your child.
I am the Head teacher of Angel Road Junior School which is Federated with Angel Road Infant School. We joined Evolution Academy Trust on September 1st 2019, so now benefit from being part of a larger family of schools across Norwich and Suffolk.
Our schools also benefit from being located in the heart of the wonderful and historic City of Norwich but within easy reach of the beautiful Norfolk country side and coast. We are proud of the diverse communities each school serves. We believe that children in our schools thrive from this diversity, enabling them to be responsible, caring and respectful young citizens.
We are collectively uncompromising in our ambition for the children and the communities we serve so that to children can succeed now and in their future as they enter the next phase of their education and childhood.
We pride ourselves on ensuring a blend of high levels of professionalism, expertise and inclusive practices. The leaders within our schools work very closely together in an open and honest way to make sure that we are challenging one another, sharing best practice and utilising each other’s strengths. We have high expectations of our teams and equally expect our school staff to be respected members of their community so we can all work positively with children and families.

Angel Road Junior School is an exciting and friendly place to learn. We are focused on helping all our children make the best possible progress through high quality teaching, an emphasis on personal development and by offering a wide range of learning experiences through our broad and balanced curriculum.
We are federated with Angel Road Infant School and Nursery and we share the same Governing body. We work closely together to share expertise and resources, and to provide vital continuity as children make the most of their learning journey.
We are very proud of our school and our achievements. We aim to help children learn in an inclusive, caring and safe environment. We want every child to enjoy their learning and we are committed to offering a range of exciting and inspiring activities. Our whole staff team work together to make Angel Road Junior School a great place to learn and work.
At Angel Road Junior, we are passionate about ensuring a genuine partnership between home and school and developing a family atmosphere of care and respect for each other. This will enable each of us to be happy learning and achieving to the best of our abilities.
The views of children, parents and carers are very important to us. If you have some positive feedback, a suggestion or a concern, please either drop into school, call the school office or contact via email. We are always happy to speak to you but we may need to arrange an appointment if a longer conversation is needed.
